A colossal silver-blue fish rises against a calm turquoise sky.
Its scales are worlds each one holding trees, homes, clouds, and pathways.
At the heart of the fish, within a conch-like form, Lord Vishnu appears in four-armed grace.
Beside the fish, white lotuses bloom from the water, reaching upward.
Matsya Avatar is the beginning of preservation.
When the great flood came, Vishnu took the form of Matsya to save the Vedas and the seeds of life.
Here, the fish does not just carry life. It is life.
Vishnu is not outside the fish. He is within it.
From water, through fish, into the world this is how creation is protected.
